It is nice to see this many ACC teams ranked. However, the season
is still early so there is still a lot of football left to be played this season. Also, keep in mind that the ACC had multiple opportunities to gain some credibility the first two weeks of this season. Instead a majority of them lost their games to a power conference foe. If the ACC wants to improve its image as a football conference, then the number of ranked teams may not be enough. The ACC may need to start winning more games against power conference foes too regardless if it is in the regular season or post season. If the ACC is able to consistently have multiple teams ranked throughout the season and win at least a majority of the games against power conference foes, then maybe there will be less pressure for the conference to add more football schools. Until that day I believe the ACC will feel the pressure to try to keep up with the Big Ten, SEC, and maybe even the Pac-12.
